English Premier League to Restart June 17th
May 28, 2020
The English Premier League will return to our screens in mid-June as the league was given permission to set a restart date.
March 9th was the last EPL action we saw, and in case you forgot all about it, that was Leicester City beating Aston Villa 4-0. It will have been exactly 100 days since then if the league is to resume on the 17th of June.
Liverpool fans will of course be delighted as this gives them a clear path to their first title in almost thirty years. Below them, there is a battle for the Champions League places as Leicester, Chelsea, and Man Utd battle it out from 3rd to 5th place.
Every game will be shown live, and the schedule certainly looks a lot different to normal (all times below are Eastern Time Zone).
Weekend matches will be scheduled as follows:
- Friday 3pm
- Saturday 7:30am, 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm
- Sunday 7am, 9qm, 12:30pm, 2pm
- Monday 3pm
Midweek matches will be scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday all 1pm and 3pm
That certainly looks like a carnival of soccer action to us. There may be no Euro 2020, but soccer fans are in for a treat with games almost every night of the week coming up through summer.
It's understood that teams have set an end date of July 25th for the season. There are nine matchdays remaining in the schedule.
Of course, we have all the odds as they go up, at legal online sportsbooks. We compare odds for money line, over/under 2.5 goals, tie no bet, correct score, and first scorer markets.
